Wow....wow....wow.....LOVE these action shots!!!!! i enjoy capturing action shots like these.
last minute we were invited to go to a rodeo by one of paige’s friends and her mother. i’m game for anything that involves horses and a chance to put my camera to work.
to the untrained eye (as i say this in my most sophisticated voice....hehe) some of these shots may seem just plain blurry....but look close. some of these shots almost seem surreal. I LOVE them. You can SEE and i’ll stress again SEE the action in these pictures.
all of these shots were taken at my seat in the stands. also, they were taken at either 1000 or 1600 ISO which means.......grainy.........but i think the noise gives the pictures character that i really like.

this little boy was maybe 5 years old and he was waaaaay too cute rounding up the steers!!!

these horses AMAZE me. an example of them KNOWING what they are supposed to do. watching their rider do their job while helping out by keeping the rope tight. they back up and adjust the rope for their rider. obviously, they are trained VERY well.....and you can just see how much they love what they do.

ok....bull riding. i'm a nervous wreck during this event....which i'm sure you can imagine. only one injury during the bull riding and he walked away from it.
