Z-man

i remember it like it was yesterday. i would walk into her stall on a cold crisp night and talk softly to her. she would bow her head and accept my soft pats. she was so graceful and loving. today, she is a mother. her baby's name is z-man. a handsome young stud colt.

today, this wonderful mother and baby live with my good friend and she asked me to come and take pictures of z-man because soon he will be starting a new phase and journey in his life.

z-man and mom rosie are american saddlebreds. a beautiful, powerful, graceful and loving breed.

Oh How I Enjoy...

oh how i enjoy second shooting weddings. :0) this past weekend i had the honor of shooting with cheree federico. be sure to check out her site for the complete wedding coverage and her amazing images.

it's all in the details, right?! details are something i've always enjoyed documenting/shooting no matter what my subject is. as a second shooter it's a great opportunity to focus on the details. so you can imagine how much i enjoy this.

when cheree and i first saw the bride she said "i'm marrying my best friend today". how awesome is that?! i thought the picture below was very appropriate for that statement.

Wedding: Sharon + Stephen

i promised them rain was a sign of good luck, but i now wonder if sharon and stephen even noticed the large drops of water falling from the sky. there was so much love. this day was made beautiful without the need for sunshine, big puffy clouds or a sunset.
