Riding Skillz

paige started horse riding lessons when she was four. riding is a love and passion for her. she did take a break for a couple of years to ride dirtbikes with her dad and had a lot of fun doing that too. Now it's back to horses for paige. after her riding camp, her need to ride grew. Our friend, anne, let her come out and ride again over the weekend. We now have some time scheduled for her to spend the day at the farm to help out along with a few other girls.

here is a few shots of her riding and it's very much like riding a bike....it all just comes back.

Chinese Cresteds

for some time now paige and i have wanted a chinese crested. cresteds are interesting dogs to say the least....as you can see here.....

when we moved we discovered one of our neighbors owned TWO cresteds! paige and i were so excited! it's very rare to see these dogs and there's TWO down the road?! wow. Here's pictures of one of them.








poor thing doesn't look quite a elegant as the google dogs...but still cute.....well i guess cute is the right word......hehehe....at least WE think he or she is cute!


as i've mentioned before i would love to have a small lap dog one day (probably quite a few years down the road). i've mentioned a yorkie before too. after speaking with the owner of these cresteds .... she confirmed that the cresteds are great dogs. she claims she owned many small breeds (i think she used to run a kennel of some sort) and the cresteds are hands down her favorite....hmmmmmmm.

Hoof Beat Camp

paige has enjoyed a very fun week at hoof beat camp. today marked the last day of week one.

for the finale, the girls put on a performance for the parents. they all did a great job!

Finally.....Smiles!

for a while, it was hard to get smiles out of this little girl. i got looks of dread and "hey, get that camera out of my face" looks.....hehe.....but here lately, i've been getting cute smiles!!!!








these are also pictures of one tired little girl. paige has been attending a riding camp this week and after a day full of activities and fun....she is worn out and ready for some rest.

Introducing.....Isabelle

isabelle is the kitten paige got for her birthday from her friend, makenzie. isabelle is a very sweet little girl. the only problem is that our cat tom is VERY upset with this new addition to our home. i hope it all works out but we'll have to wait and see how things go.

Paige's Birthday Party

yesterday, we had paige's birthday party to celebrate her 11th birthday. her actually birthday is not until the 10th, but in order to squeeze it in on a saturday we chose to celebrate on the 7th.

we had a very low-key celebration. she invited a few friends over for pizza and cake and played a few games.
