"....i use these albums as a family diary, to capture little family jokes or funny incidents as well as the usual round of birthday party, thanksgiving dinner, and vacation scenes. photos help me recall happy details that once seemed unforgettable: how jamie used to make rice pudding all the time; how tiny our four-pound eliza was when she was born and how eleanor lived to show off her belly button. without photographs, would we remember the fall afternoon when we wandered through central park with eliza dressed as a "lovely fairy" or eleanor's ecstasy the first time we put her in a swing?"
i am currently reading
The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin and came across this paragraph in her book and thought it would be appropriate to share here. for a while now i have entertained the idea of offering photography classes to parents to help improve their day to day family photo skills. we all know how important these day to day images are. i think gretchen sums the importance up nicely. :0)
if you think you would have an interest in one of these classes i would love to hear from you! you can reach me
here.
