I Dream of a Pony

for months all we heard about was a wish for a spotted pony. paige has a LOVE in general for horses (like her mom ;0)) but specifically spotted horses (or pony....anything that looks remotely like a horse :0))

while visiting a farm where a new baby horse had been born paige spotted a beautiful pony. below you will find this beautiful pony who now has a home at the lawrence farm and was named ginger.

ginger was perfect in every way....size.....color......beauty.......gentle and kind......but we were told that she might have had an abusive past and after spending some time with ginger it became evident that she had trust issues that were buried very deep and surfaced from time to time.

non-the-less ginger obviously has a connection with paige and it's always wonderful to watch the connection and interaction of horse and human. if not careful one can find a connection that is impossible to unbound.

Playground Fun

it's really nice to have a playground nearby. we will be spending many evenings here when the weather is nice. it's a great chance for paige to have fun....for me to feel like a kid again....and a great time for our dog bugle anne to run and play.

Happy Halloween

600 ghouls and 30 bags of candy later ........ halloween is over.

this year was different for us. we spent the whole evening handing out candy rather than roaming the streets with our little girl in tow. i have to honestly admit i wish paige was 5 years old again dressed up in her costume roaming the neighborhoods. we have always enjoyed halloween as a family. this evening was simply a frenzy of making sure each visitor had a piece of candy in his or her bag (actually more like two or three).....not really being able to look and see what types of visitors we received. all in all ..... it was fun .... and i look forward to next year.

Fall Treats !!!!

i love pumpkin pie.....below are some pumpkin pie gems we made. mmmmm....they are good! before you think i'm betty crocker....the ingredients came out of a box. all we had to add was milk, egg and butter. these are made with eagle brand sweetened condensed milk....love that stuff.
