i'm hoping these pictures will inspire me to look forward to winter!

Already Dreaming of Spring

a deep sigh............i must admit i'm already dreaming of spring.

when the leaves are almost gone and the cold sets in i'm quick to wish for spring. i enjoy fall but once the the show is over i'm ready to fast forward bypassing winter. i love the holidays, snow and the cold crisp nights........but i long for butterflies and flowers.

Haunted House?

this is our neighbor's house.....they have a very cool old victorian style home. one evening as paige and i were walking by i just happened to see this opportunity for a picture. a little tweaking later.....i think i've got a haunted house!!! what do you think??

and............since i plan to be very lazy tomorrow i should probably say now........

be sure to eat lots of turkey (or ham) and dressing ........ and be sure to sample every pie on the dessert table! also, be sure to make a list of all things you are thankful for this year! i know i have many many things to put on that list!

The Holidays Are Here!!!!! Well...Almost....

i can't believe it’s time for the holidays. i love this time of the year and i’m so excited. i’ll probably do a lot of online shopping again this year. the bulk of my shopping was done online last year and it was SO much more convenient!! i don’t mind getting out in the shopping crowd maybe once or twice during the holiday madness….but that’s enough for me and i usually can’t get all of my shopping done during those outings.

also, christmas decorating is around the corner and i need to decide what theme i want to go with if i purchase any new stuff for the new home......a primitive christmas would be neat!

Bowling Fun!

last night we had a birthday party to attend at the local bowling alley........i decided to remain a cheerleader rather than a participant. the last time i bowled i was sore for days (i'm getting old).

paige pretty much took all of the pictures. she got all of the up close and personal - in the action shots.

gotta love those bowling shoes!!!!

For Sale

hopefully next week we'll FINALLY get to put a for sale sign in the front yard of our old house. along with the house we will be letting our barn go too with the lot. kent and i built this barn with our own two hands!!!

this morning i was finishing up some shots for the realtor and here are two i really liked! i love how the sun was captured in these along with those fall leaves!!

mmmmmmmmmm.......when the cold weather hits there's nothing better than snuggling up with a cup of hot chocolate.

Baker Arboretum

a couple of months ago a fellow photographer (and friend) and i visited the Baker Arboretum. Mr. Baker opened up his beautiful place for us to come and stroll around the breathtaking grounds and take pictures. i can only imagine how beautiful this place is during fall!

New Home

living in your dream home definitely tops the list of wonderful things in life. over the summer kent and i took the plunge and bought a home. when we saw this house on the market we had no idea just how wonderful the house would be inside (and out of course). we made our appointment to view the home and left that viewing knowing we had found THE house!! we were in love! this house was built in 1897 but everything had been upgraded......sooo it was move in ready.

for years kent and i had dreamed of moving to the area we are in now. we had a few streets in mind that would be considered ideal streets to live on and this one topped the list. we couldn't be happier!!

i've decided on occasion to post random shots. so here's my first..............no rhyme or reason. so now i'll have random shots along with my random stuff to talk about. :0)

as far as mondays go today has been A monday.....but it's almost over and an opportunity to start a new fresh (happy) day is around the corner.

Wow....wow....wow.....LOVE these action shots!!!!! i enjoy capturing action shots like these.

last minute we were invited to go to a rodeo by one of paige’s friends and her mother. i’m game for anything that involves horses and a chance to put my camera to work.

to the untrained eye (as i say this in my most sophisticated voice....hehe) some of these shots may seem just plain blurry....but look close. some of these shots almost seem surreal. I LOVE them. You can SEE and i’ll stress again SEE the action in these pictures.

all of these shots were taken at my seat in the stands. also, they were taken at either 1000 or 1600 ISO which means.......grainy.........but i think the noise gives the pictures character that i really like.

this little boy was maybe 5 years old and he was waaaaay too cute rounding up the steers!!!

these horses AMAZE me. an example of them KNOWING what they are supposed to do. watching their rider do their job while helping out by keeping the rope tight. they back up and adjust the rope for their rider. obviously, they are trained VERY well.....and you can just see how much they love what they do.

ok....bull riding. i'm a nervous wreck during this event....which i'm sure you can imagine. only one injury during the bull riding and he walked away from it.
