today, i had the privilege of photography a beautiful family that's also expecting! it was so much fun doing a family session and a maternity session all in one!

Jail Bird

so i'm walking through the house this evening and i catch a glimpse of blue lights flashing outside our front door....so of course that required a very quick double take...followed by a "what the heck?" there was a cop sitting in front of our house. i have to admit a fear ran through me and i hesitated to go and see what was going on....but that soon turned into kent and me upstairs peeping out the window like two teenagers giggling and watching the scene. a guy had been pulled over and was obviously under the influence. we could hear them talking and we had a birds eye view of the whole scene. it was quite entertaining. i told kent there's no telling what people are thinking if they are witnessing the scene in front of our house. i'm sure there will be some good gossip going around the grove for the next couple of days.

unfortunately, this is about the most entertaining a saturday night gets for us now-a-days. pretty sad huh? maybe we need to change that.

It's Time to Read......

when this time of the year rolls around...it's dark at 5:00...it's much cooler out and dreary.....and the need to hibernate sets in....i'm ready to find a good book to read.

i'm open to anything....romance, drama, mystery, photography related. although, i'm feeling more of the need to get lost in someone else's world for some fun and adventure.

e-mail me or leave a comment with recommendations. what have you read lately that was GREAT?! you just couldn't put it down.

paige and i might have to make a trip to the cute local library this weekend and plan to leave with our arms loaded down with books. i know paige never has a problem doing that. the child LOVES the library and loves to read.

Megan's Bridal

last sunday megan and i got together to shoot a bridal which was a first for me. it was quite cold out but megan was so strong braving the cold!!!

megan is beautiful no matter what .... but put her in an amazing wedding dress and she is STUNNING!

jerry baker was so kind to allow us to do this session at his home and arboretum. it's absolutely beautiful there.



































it was quite a dreary day out so when i saw these lights i knew i had to make the best of them. i added a little texture for some fun too. i really didn't know if i would like the end result but i must admit i'm pleased. it's always fun to look around and find something unique and different to use in a shot.

A Day At The Zoo

we spent they day at the louisville zoo. we go about every other year and always enjoy it. they are making some big changes and i can't wait to go again and see the results. this time of the year was great. pretty much all of the animals were out and about.
